Time to start practicing your clap! FLOYD DAKIL is coming to NYC this summer to perform for us. He formed his group the Pitmen in 1964, and recorded one of our favorites, Dance, Franny, Dance. Later under the name Floyd Dakil Four he released three 45’s including Kitty, Kitty and Bad Boy.
Mr. School of Rock ‘N Roll GENE SUMMERS is flying in all the way from Texas to play his songs at Rebel Night Weekender. Gene first recorded School Of Rock ‘N Roll in 1958 and went on to make many more rockin’ hits from there. Get ready to dance! Straight skirt, oooee, oooee, oooee
Rebel Night is binging back the 50’s 60’s rockin’ scene with four legendary artists, HAYDEN THOMPSON, FLOYD DAKIL, GENE SUMMERS, and THE TRASHMEN performing their songs live at New York City’s first ever rock ‘n roll weekender party, Rebel Night!
In their first ever United States appearance is The Mystery Gang
They are bringing their wild sound exclusively to Rebel Night all the way from Hungary! Mystery Gang started playing in 1998, and had great success touring around Europe, playing clubs and festivals, including Rave UK 6. They released their first 7” on Revell Yell (Japan), their CD was released on Nervous Records (UK) which was number one in sales for 12 weeks running. They are. In our option, one of the best European rockabilly bands out there, we couldn’t be more excited to have them playing the weekender. Stompin Riffraffs is Japan’s number one rockabilly garage band.
Male vocals with three sexy go-go ladies backing him up. They’ve toured all over Japan and became very well known, but now they’re coming to rock in New York City for the first time. Their sound is influenced by 50’s though early 60’s rock ‘n roll, sounds a lot like Renegades V. (wine, wine, wine). They just released their first 45rpm on Halloween of 2009, Horror Show c/w Parabellum Check them out, you’ll like it!
Will & The Hi - Rollers
Straight out of Las Vegas comes really killer Wild Records band Will & The Hi - Rollers. They will be making their first ever east coast appearance exclusively at Rebel Night Weekender
Twang Bangers
Flying in from Germany for their first ever United States appearance is Twang Bangers. They say their goal for every show is to have as much fun as possible! Influenced by rockabilly, rock ‘n roll, jump blues and country, Twang Bangers have a great sound with a rough attitude that you’re sure to enjoy
Susquehanna Industrial Tool & Die Co. from New York City
New York City’s very own Susquehanna Industrial Tool and Die Co. will be at Rebel Night Weekender entertaining you with their set, filled with crowd pleasing songs like, Where’s My Chicken, My Watchdogs been Sleepin', and Dig That Crazy Monkey. They’re a little rockabilly trio with a big hillbilly sound that is always a blast to watch live!
Cosmic Keith has been a DJ for over 25 years and has been running Boston Arms Rockabilly Club in London for the last 12 years. Cosmic Keith has been DJ at Rockabilly Rave and other events worldwide. He compiles LP's for Boparama Label including Big Noise From The Planet Bop & Rock Out Of This World. This will be his first time DJing in New York.
Wild Pascal has been a rock ‘n roll DJ for over 20 years. When Rebel Night asked him for information all he had to say is: I’m rock ‘n roll from my heart.
He will play wild fantastic music, it’s a breath of fresh air.
Martin Rey has been a DJ for over 25 years. He only spins original 45s, no repros or CDs. Martin Rey has spun all over the world. He is influenced by 50's R'n'B, Blues and rockabilly though the early 60's. But he plays anything that moves right into your heart and makes your feet stomp. Martin Rey will blow your top and delight with his 45's, it's not the same shit you hear everywhere!
Eager Boy is the host of one of Japan's wildest record hops called "Trigger". We are excited to have him spin for the first time in the United States for Rebel NIght Weekender.

Will & The Hi - Rollers
The Trashmen began in 1962 as a Rock and Roll band. Their major hit was 1963’s “Surfin’ Bird,” which reached #1 coast to coast in the United States and in Canada. The Trashmen continued to release great follow up singles. In 1964, “Bird Dance Beat” reached #30 in The United States, becoming a mega hit in Brazil..The Trashmen went on to have 5 other charting singles and 14 albums.
In the time period between JFK’s assassination and the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, The Trashmen ruled teenage America: “Surfin’ Bird” was THE soundtrack of 1964. The Trashmen are revered as the #1 garage band of all time and the all time cult rock band of the mid 60’s.

"Hula Hoop Harlot Melissa-Anne is a New York City based performance artist specializing in the artistry of Hula Hoops. She is a self taught professional hula hooper with a jazz and tap dance background. At age eighteen she moved to New York City where she began incorporating her love of dance with her extraordinary hooping skills into live performances. She has resided in Brooklyn for 10 years now, and performs regularly at various parties, vaudeville, sideshow, circus, and, variety shows across the country. She performs meticulously choreographed routines that, while dazzling in their acrobatic nature, are also super-playful and wildly entertaining!"
